This is the true story of Žanis Lipke, “Latvia’s Schindler,” who was honored as one of the Righteous Among the Nations for his heroic deeds. Despite hardships and peril, Lipke saved local Jews from Nazi persecution and certain death. Through a powerfully ominous and suspenseful atmosphere, the viewer, like Lipke, becomes a reluctant eyewitness to unfolding horrors.
