About Book Fair

Our Mission

The Detroit Jewish Book Fair celebrates the global art of Jewish storytelling by presenting shared experiences highlighting diverse authors, and curating new Jewish writing.

Our Story

The Detroit Jewish Book Fair is the oldest and largest Jewish book fair in the nation. This community-wide literary event attracts a varied audience of more than 20,000 people each year.

Prominent and emerging writers – from our community and all over the world – in literature, the arts, philosophy, theology, history and current events are invited to engage, educate and entertain.
